Biography

Hossein Rabiee was a well-known shopkeeper in Qom who gained recognition for displaying a water cooler outside his business labeled 'In memory of Khodanoor,' an act of protest that led to repeated summons and harassment by authorities. On January 2, 2026, he was killed during revolutionary protests when a grenade explosion severely mangled his chest and right hand. Before passing, he managed to ask a bystander to contact his family, and his father eventually located his body several streets away from where the incident occurred.
